The Phaistos Disc
Clay disk from the Minoan Palace of Phaistos, Crete. It bears symbols of hieroglyphic script, stamped on both sides, in spiral arrangement. It is considered as the earliest known example of typography.
Neo-Palatial period (ca. 1700-1600 B.C.).
